Care Instructions
These instructions are designed to help you enjoy your flowers for as long as possible; so, for maximum benefit, you should follow the instructions as soon as possible.
To ensure freshness when your flowers are delivered, they are sent in bud. This also protects them on their journey.
Delivered flowers are always grateful for a long drink as soon as they arrive.
- Remove all packaging from base of bouquet.
- Trim 2-4cm from the base of the stems at a 45-degree angle (try not to cut through any joints).
- Always use a clean vase or container. Don’t use metal containers because they can neutralise the effects of the flower food.
- Fill the vase or container three quarters full with fresh tap water, then add the flower food following the guidelines on the sachet.
- Try to keep your flowers away from ripening fruit.
- Place in cool location away from draughts, direct sunlight and heat.
- Remove any foliage which lies beneath the water level.
- Check the water level daily as flowers can be thirsty.
- To refresh flowers after 2-3 days, remove any drooping flowers or foliage, re-cut the stems and replace in fresh water.
Special note
Take extra special care with lily pollen as it can stain clothing & furnishings. In case of contact, try to remove with sticky tape but do not attempt to brush it off or use water.
Bouquet contents may be harmful to you & your pets if eaten.
Your flower arrangement should not be placed onto furniture and/or polished surfaces as scratching or staining may occur. Always use a protective mat. Flower foods may also stain some surfaces; if spilled always wipe clean immediately.
Some flowers may arrive with discoloured outer petals. These are guard petals which protect the flower whilst in bud / transit. Don’t worry, your flower is not dead; once the bud opens the guard petals will be obscured.
